New course is LIVE!

My newest class, Bringing Your Characters to Life, is now open. The course will run from July 7th to August 9th.

The most compelling stories have characters with an emotional understory tied into every aspect of the plot. This brings meaning and life to every part of your story, and it all happens through your characters and the reader's connection to them. When done right, this emotional understory is key to creating characters that come to life in the minds (and hearts) of your readers.

This course is 5 weeks, but offers 2 opportunities to meet with me one-on-one to discuss specifics with your characters individually. First, meeting with me at the beginning of the course to assure you have a 'direction' to focus on for class, and once at the end to look at progress, next steps, and additional questions. Additionally, there will be 'takeaway' pages as well as optional character sheets you can fill out to keep track of your progress.

Similar to my other classes, I designed them to build community connections that can grow past our class time together, not just during our LIVE meeting times, which will be Saturdays 12pm - 2pm EST.

There are only 30 slots available for this particular class as it involves more personal interactions, so don't delay too long if you are interested.

I am excited to share more helpful advice, spark engaging conversations, and offer exercises and activities that should help you fight writer's block and that pesky middle 'slump'.
